Have it plain with butter (low salt or salt free recommended) or with "something upon" like Blackforest ham or – if you are more fuzzy – as lovely breakfast with sliced tomatos, chopped onions, fried bacon and egg on top...

Rye

- among all kinds of grain, is the one with the highest amount of dietary fibre.

It contains double the amount of dietary fibre compared to the most types of veg and fruit.

In our German bakery we use rye flour types 997 and 1100, which are high in dietary fibre, minerals and trace minerals and other components, like antioxidants. Rye sourdough bread is a 'jack-of-all-trades' for keeping your body healthy, as there are various different effects on digestion, blood sugar level, cholesterol level and disease prevention. So by adding rye bread to a balanced diet you are contributing to the overall health of your body.
